Honey vs. Neosporin
Next time you reach for that tube of Neosporin, try honey instead. Just place a dab of honey big enough to cover the scrape or cut just as you would with Neosporin and then cover up with a band-aid.
Cinnamon (or Ginger) Honey Lemonade
Ingredients and Gear:
- 1 part honey
- 3 parts water
- 2 parts lemon juice
- 1 cinnamon stick or 1 tablespoon of crushed crystallized ginger
- Ice
- Stove
- Pot
- Pitcher
- Stirring spoon
Instructions:
- Break up cinnamon stick.
- Mix broken up cinnamon stick (or crystallized ginger), honey, and water in pot.
- Heat cinnamon (ginger)-honey-water mixture until honey has mixed thoroughly with water. Mixture should not come to a boil.
- Let mixture cool.
- Transfer mixture to pitcher.
- Stir in lemon juice.
- Refrigeration before serving may be preferred, but is not absolutely necessary.
- Serve over ice on a hot summer day by the pool!
